Adyen Shuttle processes mobile POS transactions at TNW Conference 2013

Netherlands-based global payment services company Adyen has been selected for its chip-and-PIN mobile POS service to process mobile point-of-sale ticket sales at TNW Conference 2013, The Next Web’s European conference in Amsterdam, which takes place between 25-26 April 2013.

Adyen Shuttle is a mobile payment terminal that enables merchants to accept chip-and-PIN card transactions at the point-of-sale, connecting via Bluetooth to any Android or iOS mobile device. The solution is fully EMV (Europay, MasterCard, Visa) compliant, meaning that it can process payments for all credit and debit cards.

Shuttle is currently being used to take card payments at point-of-sale by taxi and delivery firms, market traders, high street fashion retailers, driving schools, bed & breakfasts, boat rental, event organisers, luxury retailers and healthcare brands amongst others.

Adyen supports all relevant sales channels, including online, mobile and POS, and can process over 200 different payment methods, 187 transaction currencies and 14 settlement currencies used across six continents. Adyen works with many global customers including SoundCloud, Getty Images, Benetton, KLM, PopCap Games, Greenpeace and Vodafone.

In recent news, Adyen has become a member of the French Bank Card Group GIE Carte Bancaire (CB), France’s national interbank network, to enable its customers to gain access the French card processing specificities.
