Billing Revolution offers credit card billing service for web-enabled phones Wednesday 12 November 2008 | 05:09 PM CET

Billing Revolution has launched Single-click, a credit card checkout tool-box that enables retailers to sell products to mobile users. The service is designed for Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone application developers, as well as mobile marketing agencies and publishers launching branded applications.

The credit card billing service enables mobile developers to integrate purchase functions into their existing mobile applications. For mobile developers, the platform represents an alternative to selling digital applications through mobile portals (on-deck channels). With Single-click, mobile operators will be able to sell goods and services not currently allowed on their bills, such as physical goods and purchases of over USD 20. Billing Revolution charges per-transaction fees for purchases powered by Billing Revolution. The tool box is available for free directly from billingrevolution.com.

To make a transaction, users access Billing Revolution’s purchase page, provide their credit card information, after which they receive an SMS receipt on their phone. After clicking the receipt link, the authentication process is complete and future purchases are all single-click enabled. Billing Revolution’s authentication service also provides merchants with management tools, including restricting or allowing paying customer access.
