Busey selects Vantiv for merchant bank payment acceptance services

US-based financial institution Busey Bank has selected Vantiv, a provider of payment strategies and technology for financial institutions and businesses worldwide, to provide merchant bank payment acceptance services to its commercial banking customers in the country.

Local businesses will now be able to accept numerous payments modes including credit cards and gift cards across different platforms such as at retail locations, online and with mobile devices, with the use of merchant processing services. The payment processing services and related technology systems provider caters to merchants and financial institutions of all sizes in the US.

The bank is first Busey Corporations wholly-owned subsidiary and manages 43 banking centers. Vantiv (formerly Fifth Third Processing Solutions) was founded in 1971. Vantivs product suite includes ATM terminal driving and monitoring, ATM and debit card transaction authorisation and processing, credit issuing and processing services, national and regional gateway services, ancillary services including fraud detection, card production and other consultative services.
