Canada: Paymobile to acquire Zoompass mobile wallet business from EnStream

EnStream, a joint venture between Canada-based mobile carriers Rogers, Bell and Telus has entered an agreement with Canadian technology company Paymobile to sell its Zoompass mobile wallet business. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

Under the agreement, Paymobile is set to acquire Zoompass to enable consumers to make person-to-person (P2P) money transfers using mobile and online devices.

Paymobile provides mobile technology enabling businesses to provide their customers with a white label mobile client application with the ability to manage their card balances, transfer funds from their bank accounts by way of Interac and perform card to card funds transfers using their mobile devices.
