Carta integrates MasterCard MOTAPS for NFC programs

Thursday 12 May 2011 11:59 CET | News

Global prepaid and mobile payment transaction processing technology company Carta Worldwide has completed work with MasterCard to integrate the MasterCard Mobile Over-the-Air Provisioning Service (MOTAPS).

The MOTAPS service is an enabling platform for NFC programs that is set to enable the delivery of personalisation data directly to the customer device at the point of issuance, via a standardised interface that works across NFC ecosystem participants.

As a result, owners of NFC handsets can request the MasterCard account to be set up directly from the handset itself; personalisation data is set to be delivered within seconds while the handset is enabled for contactless payments.

In recent news , MasterCard, financial services provider Banco PanAmericano and Rev Worldwide, a payment services provider, have launched a reloadable prepaid card for everyday purchases in Brazil.
