Information technology company Fireswirl has inked a contract with GSI Commerce, an e-commerce and multichannel services company, to deliver the latter’s e-commerce services across China.

GSI serves more than 1,000 retailers and brands worldwide and provides technology, payments, fulfillment and customer care services as well as a range of marketing services. In June 2011, GSI Commerce has been acquired by eBay for USD 2.4 billion. Following the acquisition, GSI Commerce will operate as a separate business unit led by Chris Saridakis, appointed as president.

Fireswirl operates an e-commerce platform which serves established Chinese and international brands, including flagship stores on Taobao Mall, a Chinese website for online shopping, in the online markets to generate and fulfill sales via internet.
