Experian provides fraud prevention services to the US Social Security Administration

Global information services company Experian has started to provide the US Social Security Administration (SSA) with fraud prevention services which authenticate and safeguard the identities of consumers who now have online access to their Social Security earnings and access to information through the SSAs new online Social Security Statement.

The SSAs new online Social Security Statement provides people with estimates they can use to plan for their retirement. In addition to helping with financial planning, the online Statement offers consumers a way to determine whether their earnings are accurately posted to their Social Security records.

Experian allows businesses to manage credit risk, prevent fraud, target marketing offers and automate decision making. Experian also provides individuals with the ability to check their credit report and credit score and protect against identity theft.
