FINO acquires pre-paid mobile payment business of Nokia Mobile Payment Services in India

Indian business and banking technology platform Financial Inclusion Network & Operations (FINO) has acquired the pre-paid mobile payment business of Nokia Mobile Payment Services in India, online media outlet timesofindia.indiatimes.com reports. The amount of the deal has not yet been disclosed.

According to the source, the company has been renamed Alpha Payment Services India and is set to operate under the brand Takatak Money, providing services including money transfers, bill payments, mobile top-ups and other.

FINO is a business and banking technology platform combined with a services delivery channel. It aims to provide affordable financial services to unbanked / underbanked consumers, totaling 42 million users in India at the moment.
