US financial services technology company Fiserv and multi-channel application technology services provider WorkLight have entered a partnership to provide financial institutions with financial services applications and widgets.

Under the terms of the agreement, via the WorkLight Platform, Fiserv is set to run and manage applications, both custom and packaged, for customer touchpoints, including social network sites desktop computers, tablets, smartphones and other emerging devices.

The partnership is set to offer toolkit payment applications for gifting, alerts and donations. The WorkLight platform will create, deliver and manage cross-platform applications for Fiserv and their financial institutions. The platform includes WorkLight Studio for native and web application development, the WorkLight Server for delivery, deployment and back-end integration with enterprise systems and the WorkLight Console for management and tracking of adoption and usage of the applications.

Fiserv has 16,000 customers worldwide, including banks, credit unions, thrifts, mortgage lenders, leasing companies, brokerage and investment firms.
