Intershop, PayPal in e-commerce deal in Brazil

Intershop, a provider of e-commerce solutions, and PayPal have entered into an e-commerce deal in Brazil.

The partnership is aimed at addressing the needs of Brazilian companies that seek a transition to a new e-commerce platform, capable of integrating with existing legacy IT infrastructure and bringing new payments, store management, mobile and cloud solutions.

According to Mario Mello, Head of PayPal for Latin America, cited by online media outlet IT News Online, the e-commerce market in Brazil is growing and with that it brings new challenges to retailers, resellers and clients.
Established in 1992, Intershop has more than 500 clients, from large to medium size companies, globally.

In recent news, PayPal, Stripe, a US-based online payment processor and US online payment processing services developer Braintree have partnered Facebook to enable the latter to roll out its ‘Autofill with Facebook’ mobile payment feature.
