US event management services provider LogRhythm has become part of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) Council.

As a participating organisation, LogRhythm is to collaborate with the Council on the PCI DSS and other payment card data protection standard as well as to provide feedback on them.

PCI DSS was developed by major credit card companies including MasterCard and Visa to increase consumer confidence in using credit cards for electronic payment. The standard applies to all merchants, financial institutions, service providers that use, store, process, or transmit payment cardholder data.

LogRhythm offers log management, log analysis and event management services which allow organisations to comply with regulations and provide security to their networks.
