Payelp Global, QIWI team up to offer Qiwi Virtual Visa to e-commerce merchants

Payelp Global, an e-commerce and online payments platform and subsidiary of DengiOnline, and Russian-based electronic payment systems provider QIWI have joined forces to offer QIWI Virtual Visa to e-commerce merchants.

The QIWI Virtual Visa is aimed at customers who either don’t have a credit card, or do not want to expose their credit card information online. It can also be used in Russia, CIS countries (former Soviet Republics such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and more), the Ukraine, India and Greece where cash is the dominant payment method.

The QIWI Virtual Visa can be used anywhere Visa cards are accepted, including websites with card registration, it is a prepaid virtual Visa complete with a CVV2 code. Users can add funds to the QIWI Virtual Visa online, via their mobile device or through Qiwi’s 110,000 self-service payment kiosks, located in 16 countries worldwide, including cash-dominated Russia and CIS countries, India, China, South Asia, Latin America, Pakistan, Turkey (and more), as well as in some American states such as California, Florida, Arizona and Texas.

The QIWI Wallet electronic payment system was launched at the end of 2007. The system allows customers to make payments online for utilities, mobile phone bills, internet, online purchases and bank loans. Payelp Global provides more than 300 payment gateways worldwide, enabling online retailers and businesses to accept credit cards, PayPal, direct debit, mobile payments, kiosk payments and more.
