Upon checkout from SafetyPay affiliated merchants, mobile shoppers select their preferred currency and bank from a drop down list on their mobile phones and are then redirected to their online or mobile bank to login and pay from their own bank accounts to complete the purchase in real time.
The mobile platform is set to be available initially in Austria, Brazil, Costa Rica, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Spain and the US.
In recent news, SafetyPay has added a global cash payment option, which enables online merchants to accept cash payments from customers within the US and internationally.
