Payment processor SecureTrading has inked a contract with Prison Technology Services (PTS).

Under the terms of the agreement, SecureTrading will act as PTS’s payment gateway and enable friends and family to transfer money and send emails to prison inmates. SecureTrading will handle all transactions across the PTS portfolio.

The services include Email a Prisoner, which enables users to email prisoners from any computer and Payment Services, which delivers e-payments to inmates, removing the need for cheques, postal orders and cash.

PTS provides all its services to prisons and a range of other establishments, such as detention and immigration removal centres.

SecureTrading‘s online card payment service enables its customers to accept credit cards, debit cards and other payment methods such as PayPal and Ukash online. The company also provides a suite of counter-fraud services ranging from 3-D Secure, CVV2 and AVS to SecureTrading Fraud Score and SecureTrading Identity Check.
