Tabbedout launches new SDK for mobile payments

Wednesday 19 September 2012 11:35 CET | News

US-based mobile payment company Tabbedout has launched a Software Development Kit (SDK) to enable restaurant chains and third party app developers and agencies they work with to incorporate mobile payment functionality into their own mobile applications.

The Tabbedout SDK supports iOS and Android platforms and includes model and web services classes for payment transactions with Tabbedout’s infrastructure. The SDK provides the ability to integrate mobile payment functionality into restaurant branded applications without purchasing additional hardware. The Tabbedout SDK also provides the ability to maintain an open tab, view and track tab details, split payment with others and pay from smartphone devices.

With Tabbedout’s SDK, restaurants can deliver a mobile payment application or add mobile payment functionality into their own application that stores credit or debit card information directly on consumers’ phones.

In recent news, Tabbedout has entered a partnership with mobile business services provider Illume Mobile to deliver mobile services to the restaurant industry.
