Turkish airline company selects Ingenico for m-payment services

Thursday 13 September 2012 10:29 CET | News

French-based provider of payment services Ingenico has been selected by Turkish airline company Pegasus to provide payment devices and POS eservices for mobile on-board sales services, automating manual operations.

Pegasus enables cabin crew to handle stock control, sale and payment operations over a channel by the application developed on the Ingenico device. Due to the fact that the manual reconciliations are not carried out within the new system, mistakes and losses are prevented by forwarding the sales to head office following flights and they are accounted right away. Starting with 200 devices, Pegasus plans to integrate loyalty programs through campaigns such as installment and bonus.

In recent news, Ingenico has been selected as supplier of payment terminals for the launch of NFC mobile payments in the Czech Republic, in partnership with Telefonica, Visa Europe, Czech financial services provider Komercni Banka and Samsung.
