VeriSign releases online security application for iPhone Wednesday 1 April 2009 | 01:49 PM CET

VeriSign launched an iPhone mobile application called Vip Access for Mobile which enables users to add a new factor for online accounts authentication.

Available at the Apple iTunes App Store, the application turns the iPhone user’s mobile numbers into a VIP one-time-password (OTP) 6-digit credential that can be used in conjunction with a username and password for the security of online accounts. With the new credential, iPhone users can use two-factor authentication (2FA) at more than 40 websites that are part of the VIP Network, including eBay, PayPal and AOL.
