Voice Commerce introduces new Application Programming Interface Monday 9 November 2009 | 10:02 AM CET

Voice Commerce, a financial services group, has launched the VoiceTransact Application Programming Interface (API) to enable voice-based authentication.

As a result of the initiative, organisations including banks, telecommunications operators and businesses that require identity and verification, can access the company’s VoiceTransact Trust Centres, as well as evaluate and verify the benefits to their customers of using voice-signature authentication.

The VoiceTransact Trust Centre is an operating platform which provides voice-based identification, verification and payment services. The Trust Centre stores voice signatures thus allowing for an individual’s identity to be validated and authenticated with any type of telephone device. With the new API, the Voice Transact Services can be incorporated into a business process and as part of a two-week pilot, customers can evaluate the time and cost savings brought by using voice-signature based identity authentication via VoiceTransact.

Voice Commerce operates and delivers mobile financial, payment, identity and verification services to consumers and businesses.
