Walmart completes acquisition of 51% stake in Yihaodian

US-based multinational corporation Walmart has completed the acquisition of 51 percent stake in the Chinese e-commerce company Yihaodian.

Walmart has revealed its intentions to invest in Yihaodian in February 2012 and has been awarded conditional approval from Beijing to acquire the majority stake in August 2012.

Chinese B2C shopping website Yihaodian operates a logistics network across China and provides more than 75,000 products ranging from clothing and grocery to consumer electronics.

Financial terms of the deal have not been made available.
