Web.com, First Data enter e-commerce agreement

US electronic commerce and payment processing services provider First Data has signed a contract with online marketing services developer Web.com to offer small and medium-sized businesses a suite of payment processing, online marketing and e-commerce solutions.

Under the terms of the deal, the two companies will enable small and medium-sized businesses connect and transact with new and existing customers on the internet. By selecting First Data’s series of payment processing products and services, merchants will have the ability to transact payments both online and at the point of sale.

First Datas portfolio includes merchant transaction processing services; credit, debit, private-label, gift, payroll and other prepaid card offerings; fraud protection and authentication solutions; electronic check acceptance services as well as internet commerce and mobile payment solutions. Web.coms online services include internet marketing and advertising, local search, search engine marketing, search engine optimisation, lead generation, contractor quotes, website design and publishing, logo and brand development and e-commerce solutions.
