In the first six months of 2010, the value of e-commerce transactions in China climbed by 60 percent in to USD 331 billion (CNY 2.25 trillion), according to People`s Daily Online, citing data released by China e-Business Research Center.
B2B transactions accounted for USD 301.3 billion (CNY 2.05 trillion), while B2C and C2C sales volume was around USD 29.4 billion (CNY 200 billion). As of June 2010, the number of e-business websites in China reached 20,700 (by the end of the year the number is expected to hit 23,000), while the number of online shoppers in China reached 130 million.
During the period under review, mobile e-commerce sales of real items, including electronics, daily necessities and clothes, reached USD 191 billion (CNY 1.3 billion).
