gWallet launches mobile monetization services, partners Mobclix to extend reach Thursday 9 September 2010 | 10:36 AM CET

gWallet, a US provider of monetization services for publishers, game developers and social networks, has made available a new platform set to provide mobile app developers with the ability to use virtual currency in order to monetize their apps via branded offers and installs. To extend the reach of its platform services, the company has also partnered with US-based Mobclix, a provider of mobile ad exchange services.

The partnership is expected to leverage gWallet’s brand relationships and experience in the virtual currency space by bringing ads to consumers and allowing developers to extend their reach via Mobclix’s portal. In addition, the new agreement will allow gWallet developers to purchase installs through the Mobclix auction-based platform.

The deal is also set to enable the promotion of brands through traditional offers. Advertisers can promote their games through banner ads and developers can promote their apps to maximize reach among their target gaming demographic.

gWallet Mobile will be available on the iPhone, Android, Blackberry as well as other smartphones. gWallet and Mobclix will also collaborate to make the platform compatible with the iPad.
