Savtira, a US-based provider of B2B cloud commerce services, has teamed up with more than 30 investors to leverage its e-commerce platform.
The new partners include companies such as IBM, Brocade, Equinix, AboveNet and Akamai.
Savtira uses IBM Smarter Commerce software to back its Web 3.0 cloud commerce platform. In addition, the platform will be powered by Brocade’s cloud-optimised networking services, which will allow organizations to align network capacity with business demands.
Equinix will be Savtira’s primary data center provider across the US and Europe. AboveNet provides Savtira’s bandwidth network in domestic and international markets including New York, Chicago, London and Amsterdam. Akamai Technologies, a provider of cloud optimisation services, will provide Savtira with content delivery network .
Savtira delivers a platform that uses e-commerce to sell both physical and digital goods using one unified shopping cart for transactions. The company creates custom-branded eStores for clients (retailers or other businesses). Savtira’s catalogue products range from movies, music, games and software to beauty supplies, electronics, household goods and pet supplies.
