Swipely, a financial social networking site, has launched the alpha version of its website, following an invitation-only beta period.
Swipely’s online service is reportedly set to “turn purchases into conversations” by encouraging members to share information on the most convenient acquisitions they have made, simply by swiping.
After completing the sign-up process, which includes creating a profile and tracking friends to follow, Swipely imports purchase information from credit cards, debit cards or email accounts. Members can start then sharing information on their favorite buys, great deals and useful products.
In addition to importing receipts via email from more than 6,000 e-commerce retailers, Swipely works with all major credit and debit cards. Users can rate and review swipes, add photos or enter specific details from catalogs and menus at more than 250,000 retail and restaurant locations.
Furthermore, Swipely will share only swipes or purchases that have been previously approved by the website member, with no purchase amounts displayed.
