US e-commerce sales have witnessed a 14 percent increase during Q2 2010, maintaining the strong growth of the previous two quarters, when the same sector registered growth rates of 14.3 and 14.6 percent respectively, internetretailer.com reports, citing data released by the U.S. Commerce Department.
Total retail sales during the second quarter 2010 have climbed 7.5 percent when compared with the same period in 2009. Moreover, seasonally adjusted e-commerce sales in the US for the Q2 2010 amounted to USD 39.7 billion, an increase of 2.6 percent versus Q1 of the same year.
Seasonally adjusted e-commerce sales for the first half of 2010 registered USD 78.4 billion and represented approximately 4.1 percent of total retail spending.
