eBay has made available eBay Bucks, a rewards program designed to enable customers to earn money for purchases made on eBay.com.

The redemption program will offer eBay consumers located in the US 2 percent back from the amount of money spent on purchases with PayPal.

Consumers making purchases on ebay.com and through smart phone devices using eBay mobile applications will automatically earn eBay Bucks, which accumulate during each calendar quarter, or every three months. Then, an eBay Bucks certificate is issued and consumers have 30 days to redeem their eBay Bucks towards purchases with PayPal on eBay.com.

The rewards program was launched as a trial during 2009 in the US.
