Silver Tail Systems, a US-based provider of predictive analytics for detection and prevention of fraud, has secured USD 20 million in Series B funding round from the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

With the investment, Silver Tail is set to support the development and the delivery of online fraud prevention. Other venture capital firms have also participated in the funding round, including Leapfrog Ventures, Seraph Group and Startup Capital Ventures. Furthermore, Scott Weiss, General Partner of Andreessen Horowitz, has joined Silver Tail System's Board of Directors.

Silver Tail offers a suite of fraud detection and mitigation services aimed at financial institutions and e-commerce companies.
