Batelco's e-Services offering witnesses 40 percent year on year growth Thursday 12 January 2012 | 02:27 PM CET

Batelco, a telecom service provider in Bahrain, has witnessed a growth in its e-billing services. Thus, the number of customers using the company’s online portal to pay their bills via e-billing in 2011 has gone up by 40 percent year on year.

Batelco attributes the growth to an increase in awareness amongst customers in the Bahrain market with regard to completing various transactions online. Once registered to use e-Services, customers receive their telecom bills via e-mail and have the option to use the eServices portal to pay their telecom bills using credit or debit cards via their smart phones or laptops.

Apart from e-Billing, Batelco's e-Services portal provides customers with access to services including managing their broadband or mobile accounts, subscribing or upgrading to a range of broadband and mobile services, customizing mobile packages and other.

In December 2011, Batelco enhanced its e-Services portal to provide consumers with a variety of online services including e-billing.
