Kofax rolls out Kofax Mobile Capture to extend capture-enabled BPM to smartphones, tablets Wednesday 18 January 2012 | 01:42 PM CET

US provider of capture-driven process automation services Kofax has launched Kofax Mobile Capture to extend capture-enabled BPM services to smartphones and tablets. This allows users to employ their device cameras to capture images of documents, photographs, audio, video and data and then pass that content to Kofax workflows that transforms it into applications and repositories.

Kofax Mobile Capture is set to support Apple iPhone and iPad devices and Android phones and tablets. It comprises Kofax Mobile Applications and Kofax Mobile Services. The Kofax Mobile Applications run directly on the mobile device to capture images of documents, photographs, audio, video and data. Once captured, the content is delivered to Kofax Mobile Services, a cloud-based service hosted on Microsoft Azure. Kofax Mobile Services delivers the content to the appropriate downstream Kofax processes.
