US online financial services company Online Resources Corporation has renewed a multi-year agreement with US utility company American Water for Online Resources’ eCom Advantage biller-direct payment services.

One of Online Resources' largest eCommerce Services clients, American Water has used the company's online bill payment services since 2003. Today Online Resources powers customer payments to American Water via the internet, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and call centre environments. Under the new agreement, American Water will have the option to expand the services it provides to its customers through the eCom Advantage suite of services, including bill presentment, text, iPhone apps, email and other methods.

Online Resources eCom Advantage Suite includes a set of electronic billing solutions for presentment, payment and receivables management to billers in many industries including credit card, auto finance, mortgage, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications and utilities.
