American Apparel signs up for Firethorn's SWAGG mobile application Tuesday 10 August 2010 | 11:53 AM CET

US-based mobile commerce services company Firethorn, a subsidiary of Qualcomm, has entered a partnership with clothing manufacturer American Apparel. Under the deal, American Apparel is set to become a retail partner for Firethorn's soon to be released SWAGG mobile application.

SWAGG is Firethorn's direct-to-consumer offering; it allows consumers to purchase, personalize and exchange gift cards directly from a mobile device. SWAGG will also provide consumers with mobile access to account information, special offers and loyalty programs.

SWAGG allows users to purchase, share and exchange gift cards, receive and redeem offers, view loyalty card points or balances and share content via a mobile device.
