Barclays revamps mobile phone banking service Wednesday 3 March 2010 | 03:38 PM CET

British financial services provider Barclays has added a new feature to its mobile phone banking service, which is set to allow customers to make payments to third parties.

Through the provision of this service, Barclays allows customers to pay funds to existing or new beneficiaries that have been set up on online banking. An interface has been developed for mobile phone viewing.

In addition to the new payments service, Barclay’s customers visiting www.barclays.mobi can also view balances, mini-statements and make transfers between their accounts.

Launched in May 2009, the Barclays mobile services have been developed to operate on all of the main mobile platforms and can be accessed by all customers including those with Apple, HTC, Nokia, Motorola, Blackberry and other internet-enabled mobile phones.
