Bulgarian tellecomunications company Globul has teamed up with payment system operator SEP Bulgaria and financial services providers Allianz Bank Bulgaria and Post Bank to launch G-Wallet, a mobile wallet service set to provide users with connectivity to their bank account.
Users of the mobile wallet service be able to carry out transfers to accounts in all banks located in Bulgaria, to make payments online and at different commercial locations as well as to receive real-time information about the status of their accounts. In addition, Globul clients will be able employ the G-Wallet service to subscribe for paying their postpaid bills or to recharge their b-connect prepaid cards. .
Security of operations will be ensured via a mobile electronic signature in the SIM card and the confirmation of all payment and check-up operations by entering a personal identification number (PIN) via the mobile handset.
Founded in 2001, Globul is 100 percent owned by Greek telecommunications corporation Cosmote, which is active in four Balkan countries: Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Albania.
