Fast Europe Ventures, Telegrafi launch mobile payment service in Kosovo Friday 10 July 2009 | 10:41 AM CET

Telecommunication media company Fast Europe Ventures and Albanian-language internet portal Telegrafi.com have teamed up to introduce a payment service for mobile users in Kosovo.

This service enables customers to use their mobile phone like a mini-credit card, enabling them to pay with the credit they have on their mobile phone. Since January 2009, Fast Europe Ventures has closed agreements with operators and partners based in Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia to launch the mobile payment service in the region. The company serves 2.8 million mobile subscribers in Western Balkan region and according to its representatives, in Europe spending per person for m-payments reaches almost EUR 30-50 on average, with EUR 10 spent per person over a year.
