Firethorn expands mobile banking offering Tuesday 2 March 2010 | 08:11 AM CET

US mobile banking services provider Firethorn has expanded the range of its options to permit clients to manage their checking, savings and credit card accounts with more than 3,700 U.S. financial institutions via a single mobile application.

The application is available on a series of smartphones and handsets offered by wireless operators working with Firethorn and it can be downloaded from www.mobilebanking.com directly to the mobile handset.

One of the Mobile Banking application's latest features enables users to access their enrolled financial accounts using a login PIN number on their mobile device. Once they log in, consumers can check the financial account balances, see their latest transactions, and track if payments have cleared. Financial institutions providing Firethorn services may offer additional transactional services, such as bill pay and funds transfer, as well as the ability to receive and view rewards and offers.
