Fortumo launches m-payments service in Russia Friday 11 December 2009 | 11:08 AM CET

Estonian mobile payment services provider Fortumo has launched its mobile payment platform in Russia.

The Fortumo mobile payment portal offers premium SMS payment services, being used for the development of international services for social networks, online games, radio stations and TV programs. Fortumo has made its services available in 29 countries from Nordics, Europe to Southeast Asia, and at Fortumo.com without any startup or monthly fees.

The company has revealed plans to introduce its services in Ukraine and Belarus at the beginning of 2010, followed by other major Ex Soviet Union countries.
