Canada-based mobile payments service provider freedomone mobile has launched its mobile communication platform in cloud computing mode allowing it to provide software as a service (SaaS) solutions.

The freedomone platform is developed on IBM’s WebSphere infrastructure and is hosted in a private, banking-type cloud for mobility only.

Companies operating in the freedomone cloud are set to design mobile services, such as applications or mobile sites, communicate with their end users across multiple channels, as well as see trends in their mobile business processes.

freedomone mobile was founded in 2011 as a product division of sourcevolution, an IT company providing business intelligence, architecture and development services, as well as mobile solutions for large corporations.
