NetSpend rolls out enhanced iPhone app Thursday 24 February 2011 | 10:40 AM CET

US prepaid debit cards provider NetSpend has launched a new version of its iPhone app, media outlet rfpconnect.com reports.

According to the source, the app is set to enable NetSpend cardholders to send mobile person-to-person (P2P) payments to other NetSpend cardholders via their iPhones.

Some of the features already available in the earlier version of the app include access to account and savings transaction histories, as well as account and bank routing information. In addition, the iPhone app is set to include a geo-locator for ATMs and reload locations, the same source reports.

The enhanced version of NetSpend’s iPhone app is currently available through the Apple iTunes App Store.

In recent news, US-based transaction marketing services provider Cardlytics and NetSpend have entered an agreement to provide consumers with targeted offers based on their prepaid debit transactions.
