Visa has entered a partnership with global microfinance network Women's World Banking (WWB), Nigeria-based financial institution Diamond Bank and financial sector development organization Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access (EFInA) to advance financial inclusion in Nigeria for underserved women and allow them to have access to savings accounts.
Under the partnership, Visa and EFInA are set to provide funding for Women's World Banking to enable Diamond Bank to develop a savings product for underserved women in the Nigeria. The project is set to include both traditional bank branches and mobile phones as channels to deliver savings accounts.
In recent news, Visa has introduced a new global fraud detection tool called Visa Strategy Manager to help financial institutions create and implement strategies to identify and fight fraudulent transactions.
