Global financial services provider Raiffeisen Bank has partnered with Visa Europe and payment services provider Cardis International to launch a contactless payment service via mobile phones dubbed CardMobile.

CardMobile combines Visa Europe’s V PAY with Cardis’ payment plug-in to enable users to carry out mobile contactless transactions without using debit or credit cards. Users are set to be provided with a mobile phone application and a microSD-card for their phone, which includes a chip with a secure payment application as well as an antenna for contactless communication with the payment terminal.

As well as CardMobile, Raiffeisen Bank will also issue V PAY contactless cards.
