Sage North America, a subsidiary of global supplier of business management software and services Sage Group, has launched Sage Mobile Payments 2.0, the latest version of its mobile payments service.

Sage Mobile Payments allows businesses to process credit and debit card transactions on mobile devices, including the iPad, across major wireless carriers.

The new Sage Mobile Payments 2.0 allows businesses to use their Sage Merchant ID (MID) account to add mobile payments to their existing payment service, provides signature capture functions, updated user interface on smartphones and a tax and tip calculator.

Sage North America operates in over 24 countries covering the UK, Europe, North America, South Africa, Australia, India and China.
