UAE: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Mobibucks launch m-payment service Thursday 2 June 2011 | 10:53 AM CET

Global mobile payments services provider Mobibucks has inked a contract with UAE-based financial services provider Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to offer a new service.

The newly-launched service, dubbed Mobi is set to allow customers to carry out purchases using a mobile phone number.

ABCB serves roughly 590,000 retail customers and over 20,000 wholesale clients.

In February 2011 , ADCB inked a contract with UAE airline company Flydubai to allow its customers who want to book flights on the Flydubai website to pay via the bank’s online banking service, dubbed ADCB@ctive Personal Internet Banking.
