US Bank rolls out Mobile Wallet downloadable mobile banking application Wednesday 30 September 2009 | 07:02 AM CET

US financial services provider US Bank, a division of US Bancorp, has teamed up with Firethorn, the mobile banking and payments arm of wireless telecommunications and chip supplier company Qualcomm.

Under the terms of the agreement, the bank has integrated Firethorn’s technology into its new Mobile Wallet downloadable mobile banking application. The Mobile Wallet allows US Bank customers to check their balances, review transaction history, transfer funds between accounts, check rewards balances and view special offers from US Bank via their mobile devices.

The service is available to US Bank customers registered for internet banking. To register for the Mobile Wallet and view a current list of supported devices, customers must log in to the bank’s online banking platform, and select “Mobile Banking”.
