US-based electronic payment services provider Vesta has launched a recharge portal that enables mobile customers to send airtime to friends and family worldwide.

Dubbed Prepaid.com, the portal provides mobile operators with an application that supports in-country and cross-border recharge for mobile services such as prepaid airtime, subscriptions, and mobile broadband.

To purchase airtime services at www.prepaid.com, a client must select the country, operator and enter the phone number that is to be recharged followed by the payment details. Prepaid.com accepts such payment devices as credit and debit cards, internationally issued credit cards, and Visa or MasterCard signature prepaid debit cards.

In addition, the portal features online and live-agent transaction support. Purchasers can create an account to store payment details and recipient phone numbers, review payment history and print transaction receipts.
