Zenius unveils demo software for NFC mobile payments Friday 28 August 2009 | 11:22 AM CET

NFC software company Zenius has introduced the ZeniusMobilePOS and the ZeniusMobilePay products for contactless payment acceptance on a mobile phone.

ZeniusMobilePay enables NFC-enabled phones to conduct US and EMV contactless credit card wave-and-pay transactions, can interface with mobile wallet applications and can be integrated into NFC-enabled phones. Those mobile phones which incorporate the ZeniusMobilePOS software can also read contactless credit cards. Both systems work with MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover branded contactless cards, but ZeniusMobilePOS can also accept transactions from other NFC-enabled devices. These transactions include payments, couponing, ticketing and transport.

ZeniusMobilePOS and the ZeniusMobilePay are running on Nokia 6131 and 6212 phones, but can be ported to other hardware platforms.
