Bank of America goes paperless with new online-only account service Tuesday 10 August 2010 | 09:32 AM CET

US financial services provider Bank of America has launched eBanking, a “bank-on-the-go” service designed to enable customers to conduct their financial activities via electronic channels and switch from paper to online account statements.

The service is set to constitute an alternative to banking in person and will be available for access via Bank of America’s ATM network, online banking platform or mobile banking service with no fee charged. However, a monthly fee of USD 8.95 will apply to account holders wishing to obtain paper statements.

Consumers can open the new Bank of America online-only checking account directly online, as well as by visiting a bank branch or over the phone.
