Bank of America to test discount deals based on customer debit, credit card spending Wednesday 25 January 2012 | 03:16 PM CET

US financial services provider Bank of America is set to begin testing a new type of deals program dubbed BankAmeriDeals for its employees in Nevada, North and South Carolina, online media outlet washingtonpost.com reports.

According to the source, the program works by assessing a customer’s spending patters. To activate a deal, the customer needs to click to accept it with no up-front payments or coupon printing required. Once a month, the customer will get a cash-back reward equal to the lump-sum of all the discounts used. There’s no cap on the amount of cash back a customer could receive.

In December 2011, Bank of America Merchant Services and Money Network, a provider of electronic payroll distribution solutions, launched the Money Network Payroll Distribution Service sponsored by Bank of America.
