United Arab Emirates-based financial services provider Mashreq Bank has inked a contract with Kaspersky Labs, a Russian computer security company, to provide Mashreq online customers with a 60 day free trial of Kaspersky Anti-Virus products.

Over 100,000 customers are expected to benefit from the offer, according to a statement from Mashreq.

The Mashreq online banking platform registered 2 million transactions in 2010. The online banking platform provides customers with an activation code for adding a payment beneficiary, thus offering upgraded security services.

In recent news, Mashreq has partnered Qatar-based telecommunication services provider Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Group to enable Qtel customers to check their accounts and pay bills via Mashreq’s web and mobile banking services.
