Santander launches iPhone app, mobile banking service in the UK Monday 16 January 2012 | 12:12 PM CET

The UK division of global financial services provider Santander Group has launched a new mobile banking service and an app for the iPhone and iPad to enable customers to access their savings, bank accounts and credit cards vie their mobile devices.

The mobile banking service is a feature of Santander’s Online Banking solution. Once customers have subscribed to Online Banking using a desktop or laptop, they will have access to a whole range of services via their mobile phones including paying bills, make credit card payments, moving money between accounts, viewing all accounts in one place including credit cards, amending or cancelling any pending payments and transfers and other.

Moreover, customers will be able to view two years’ transaction history, build a seven-year library of their statements in digital form and transfer money between their Santander accounts with a transfer tool.
