Internet security services provider Trusteer has signed an agreement with banking organization Sun Trust Banks to provide the latter with security services against financial malware attacks, fraud as well as identity theft.

Under the deal, Sun Trust Banks customers who use the bank’s Online Treasury Manager application, will be authorized to deploy Trusteer’s Rapport, a security service set to protect data exchanged during online banking sessions including usernames, passwords and account information. Trusteer enables the prevention of malware attacks through its Rapport and Flashlight services. Trusteer's Rapport security software protects online transactions by monitoring browser processes so malware cannot log keystrokes, redirect the browser or inject transactions. The product also prevents redirection to fraudulent websites and locks down communications during transmission.Trusteer Flashlight allows remote investigation of malware-related fraud incidents.
